Changes are coming and we can't wait. There are good things on the horizon for HOME and the way we do business for our clients and the bottom line is we will be able to better and more efficiently serve our customers.

HOME has just made a major investment in a new software system which will be replacing the TOPS system we currently use. My accounting manager and I have spent several months investigating, attending webinars and researching references and believe we have found a software successor that will help us better manage our clients. One of the major significances of this software is that it is web-based. With a simple login owners will be able to access their account history, pending violations and ARB matters as well as have access to digitized documents (governing documents, rules & regulations, minutes, yearend financial reports or anything else we/you want to provide. All this with a simple login and password that will be distributed to them by us as soon as your community is set up. It will be like having your own community website at no additional charge.

Also, directors will have access to all the above as well but will also have access to more features, documents and information than owners will. Directors will be able to see, in real time, certain accounting information and authorize the payment of invoices and print violations reports.

In additional, almost every report can be exported to an Excel worksheet.

We will have the ability to send email blasts and each owners' account will be differentiated on whether or not an owner has authorized electronic notification of meetings and to send the notice via the proper method. If you haven't yet, now is the time to begin working with your manager in collecting email addresses and obtaining owner authorizations to receive meeting notices electronically instead of via USPS.

Managers will eventually have the capability of being mobile with the new system.
